Broad Stage at SMC Performance Center 1310 11th St, Santa Monica
(at the corner of 11th St & Santa Monica Blvd).

Join us as we honor two inspiring women, Debrah Constance, founder of A Place Called Home, an agency helping young people through arts and mentorship in South Central Los Angeles and Sister Pat Connor, who worked tirelessly besides Debrah for many years, making this perhaps the first time a synagogue has honored a nun on the High Holy Days!

As part of this community endeavor, 100% of the evening’s profits will be donated to A Place Called Home. That’s right. Bayit Shelanu is using the Jewish holidays to raise money for others in our community, helping to repair the world.

  • Craig Taubman, the foremost Jewish composer and performer in America, along with the ethereal voice of songwriter/singer Lisbeth Scott, featured vocalist on Avatar and composer/singer on the hit song from HBO”s True Blood. Also, our own Bruce Garnitz and Ayana Haviv will each perform, while Rena Strober will sing melodies from Broadway’s Dear Evan Hansen. We will also feature the extraordinary talent of cellist Giovanna Clayton and her Latin-Pop fusion quartet, Quattro, jazz shofarist-Hagai Izraeli with Maetar, and The Urban Voices Project-a chorus comprised of former homeless and addicted individuals who found their way to well-being through music.
